It’s 2023… cellular trail cams are dominating the outdoor scene, and for good reason. These cameras are tools for success! There is no other way to put it! Sure, most of us run cellular cameras during October and November during the heart of whitetail season because it’s one of the best times of the year to find success in the woods, but many overlook the other capabilities that your Stealth Cam can provide year-round! We are going to give you 4 reasons why YOU need to run your Cell Cameras year-round!
1. Predator Control – If you are like me, you have a predator problem in your area! After whitetail season ends, my family and I like to hunt and trap predators as much as possible to help with our deer & turkey populations. We have started running cellular Stealth cameras over our traps to better monitor our trap line. Now we always know when we have caught a predator! This comes in handy when your trap line is a long way away from where you call home. You can also use these cell cams to monitor coyote trails to see when they are using them most to give you the best chance to have a successful hunt if you aren’t trapping them!
2. Shed Hunting– Sometimes our deer seasons don’t go as planned and our only hope of wrapping our hangs around our target bucks rack is if we find his sheds! Running cellular cameras in to late winter and early spring can help you
pinpoint where your target has dropped those horns! There’s no sense in hunting for shed antlers when they’re still on the deer’s head! Sometimes we get anxious and impatient and start the hunt too soon! If you can monitor your herd with a Stealth cam then you’ll always know when the majority of bucks have shed their antlers and then you get hit the field.
3. Turkey Scouting – Whitetail hunting is in my blood… but I don’t know if there is anything on this earth, I love more than a hard gobbling longbeard on a spring morning! Running cellular Stealth cameras into spring will help you pattern where your birds are spending their time. You can put your cameras over strutting zones, roosting areas, and dusting areas. Running a stealth cellular cam will help you tag that big longbeard this spring.
4. Security Surveillance – We all have experienced it. Trespassers! Whether they have stolen your property or just disturbed your land without permission. Running your cellular stealth cameras over entrances, gates, etc. is a great way to make sure no one is in your property when they aren’t supposed to be! With real time monitoring on your property, you can contact the proper authorities the moment you get a trespassing notification!
